2. Appositive phrase practice sheet

HISTORY:
1. Kabuki dramas: finalize scripts; add information, sounds, special effects, etc.

HOMEWORK:
1. Chp 21 vocab and EQ's due on Monday
2. Kabuki drama: gather/create props, costumes, special effects, sound effects, and complete script

1. Prepositional phrase practice sheet
2. Outsiders journal #3:
Does Darry really hate Ponyboy? If not, why did he react the way he did to Pony’s missed curfew? (Explain how he reacted.)  Prove it with 2-3 pieces of specific evidence! **You may NOT use your book for this journal entry.**

HISTORY:
1. Kabuki dramas: scripts, props, special effects, etc.

HOMEWORK:
kabuki dramas: finish majority of script (full script due Friday), gather props and costumes (don't bring to school yet, but take pictures of them on your phone or have parents sign a note to prove you're gathering stuff)

3. Phrase notes (appositive and prepositional phrases) *see download

HISTORY:
1. Kabuki dramas: plot diagram of play
2. Brainstorm props, costumes, backgrounds,etc.; write script

HOMEWORK:
1. Outsiders: finish reading chapter 3
2. History: all chp. 21 vocab and EQ's due by Monday! (new due date!)
3. Scriptwriters: create Google doc, begin script, invite group members to edit

LANGUAGE ARTS:
1. Outsiders journal #2 (choose one bullet point):
  • Are you in complete control of your own identity, or do you think that others make you who you are in one or more ways?  Provide specific evidence to support your response.
  • Ponyboy says he is not like the other greasers. What makes YOU unique?  How can you keep your individuality when you belong to a tight group of friends?  Do you lose a part of yourself when you become part of a group?  Support your answer with evidence from your own life.
2. Read Outsiders chp. 2
3. Begin phrase notes.

HISTORY:
1. Assign kabuki drama roles/groups
2. Read group information; brainstorm play ideas

HOMEWORK:
1. Finish reading Outsiders chp. 2
2. All chp. 21 vocab and EQ's due on Friday
